The short version: Cartfork doesn't have accounts, doesn't run servers that hold your information, and doesn't sell or share anything about you. Your meal plans, lists, pantry and price notebook stay on your device.
What stays on your phone
Your household settings, budget, store, meal plans, shopping list, pantry, favorite and imported recipes, and the prices learned from your receipts are saved only on your device.
Receipts and the camera
When you check a receipt, the photo is read on your device to find the items and prices. The photo is not uploaded and is not kept by Cartfork.
Voice while cooking
If you turn on hands-free cooking, speech is recognized on your device only to catch the words "next", "back" and "timer". Nothing is recorded or sent anywhere.
Sharing with your household
If you invite people at home, the shared plan and list travel through your own iCloud account (Apple's CloudKit). Cartfork can't see that data. You can stop sharing at any time.
Reminders, notifications and timers
Cartfork adds items to Apple Reminders only when you ask it to, sends local reminders (like the one before a free trial ends) only if you allow notifications, and uses Apple's AlarmKit for cooking timers. None of this leaves your device through us.
Importing recipes
When you paste a link, your phone opens that page to read the recipe. That website may see the request as it would from any browser.
Purchases
Subscriptions are handled by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details.
Children
Cartfork is not directed to children and doesn't collect personal information from anyone.
